This cleanser bothers my sensitive skin. There are very rough particles in it and even though I try and smooth it on so gently I think it is still too rough. Maybe if I ran it through the food processor....I think that's too much work though!
This is my first natural cleanser. I've been pleased with it. My skin is normal to dry. I was concerned about the small size at first, but I've used just enough to get the job done and so it's really lasted a good while for me.
I can see why the Almond Face Cleanser is such a popular choice, because it is a great cleanser. But I have to say that it is not my favourite because it doesn't work wonders for oily skin. I like how it leaves the skin on your face very soft. I actually did not mind the smell at all, but it does take a little getting used to.
When you apply the product on your skin, you're supposed to leave it on for about 5 minutes. Many of us don't have the time anymore, but it really does make a difference. I find that when I leave it on my skin longer, and then rinse it off my skin feels very smooth. The product does run out quicky from the jar! Because I have oily/blemish prone skin, and I think I need a cleanser with more fighting power. Otherwise, I do really recommend it!
I discovered the Wild Sage products when they were used for my facial at the St. Julien Spa in Boulder, Colorado. For the last year my daily routine has been Wild Sage Almond Face Cleanser, followed by either the Lavender Mint Toner or the Rose Hazel Toner (applied using a cotton round), then the Lavender Rose Moisturizer. In addition to being a treat for my skin, I'm into aromatherapy and the scents are wonderful.
Great for my oily, acne-prone, seborrheic (flaky) skin,
16 May 2007
Despite having oily, acne-prone skin, my seborrhea causes me to have red, flaky skin any time I use soap. When my seborrhea is activated, it makes my acne worse. So I am THRILLED to have come across this Almond Face Cleanser; it thoroughly cleans my face without drying it out at all (I cleanse with it two times if I have on makeup). I follow it with a gentle toner. I haven't seen a flake since using this product, and I've been using it for months now!
